Privacy Policy
Bluetooth Sleep Timer is designed to work locally, without an account, advertising, behavioral usage analytics, or cloud sync. Release builds use limited crash diagnostics to improve reliability.
Who we are
This policy applies to the Bluetooth Sleep Timer Android application, package name app.chaseos.bluetoothsleeptimer. The app is developed by Chaseos. For privacy questions, email chaseosapps@gmail.com.
Information processed on your device
Bluetooth Sleep Timer stores the information needed to provide the features you choose:
- Managed Bluetooth devices: Android association identifiers, device identifiers made available by Android, system device names, optional nicknames, connection and compatibility results, and your device preferences.
- Timers and Off Times: durations, selected actions and devices, schedules, execution state, completion outcomes, and limited diagnostic reasons needed to show whether an action completed.
- App preferences: onboarding state, notification choices, timer behavior, reconnect settings, and your last-used selections.
- Full Access status: the product identifier, purchase state, last verification time, and whether Google Play verified the entitlement. Purchase tokens are used transiently when acknowledging a purchase and are not stored by the app.
This content remains in the app's private local storage. Chaseos does not receive it. Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for the app. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes its local records, subject to Android and Google Play retaining platform-level records under their own policies.
Permissions and Android services
- Nearby devices and Bluetooth: used to list already-connected audio devices, let you approve a device through Android's Companion Device Manager, and request supported connection or disconnection actions for approved devices.
- Notifications: used to keep active timers visible and report timer or scheduled-action results according to your choices.
- Exact alarms, foreground services, and boot or time changes: used to run user-scheduled actions reliably, recover active schedules after a restart, and recalculate them after clock or time-zone changes.
- Media and communication state: checked on-device so the app can attempt a media Pause and avoid interrupting calls or communication sessions.
These capabilities are used only for the features described in the app. Bluetooth Sleep Timer does not use location permission and does not scan for unrelated nearby accessories.
Google Play purchases
Full Access is an optional, permanent one-time purchase processed by Google Play. The app requests localized product information, starts the Google Play purchase flow, checks purchase status, restores an existing purchase, and acknowledges completed purchases. Google Play handles payment credentials; Bluetooth Sleep Timer does not receive complete payment-card details.
Google's processing is governed by its own policies, including the Google Privacy Policy and Google Play Terms of Service.
Google Play ratings and reviews
After you have successfully used the timer, the app may ask Google Play to display its native in-app review flow. Google decides whether the review card appears. If you choose to submit a rating or written review, Google Play processes that information and may publish it with your Play profile. A review submitted from a closed testing track may instead be shared privately with Chaseos. Bluetooth Sleep Timer does not read or store your review response in its local app data.
You can edit or delete a submitted review through your Google Play Store or Google Account. Google's processing is governed by the policies linked above.
Crash diagnostics
Release builds use Firebase Crashlytics to help identify crashes, app-not-responding errors, and other technical failures. Reports may include stack traces, app and device information, and installation identifiers. They are used only to diagnose and improve app reliability, not for advertising or behavioral analytics.
Bluetooth Sleep Timer does not intentionally include Bluetooth device details, schedules, media information, purchase data, or user identifiers in these reports. Google processes this information through Firebase Crashlytics under its privacy and retention policies.
Information sent to Chaseos
Bluetooth Sleep Timer has no developer-operated server. Chaseos can access the limited diagnostic reports described above and information you choose to provide, such as a support email or a review shared by Google Play. This information is used to improve reliability and respond to support requests.
Sharing, selling, and tracking
Chaseos does not sell personal information, share it for advertising, or use behavioral usage analytics in Bluetooth Sleep Timer. Google processes limited diagnostic information through Firebase Crashlytics as the service provider described above. Android system services process device associations and requested background work, and Google Play processes purchase activity and any rating or review you choose to submit as needed to provide those platform features.
Retention and deletion
App-local information remains until you remove it in the app, clear app storage, or uninstall Bluetooth Sleep Timer. Because there is no Bluetooth Sleep Timer account or developer-operated database, Chaseos has no app account record to delete. Diagnostic reports and Google Play records are retained under their respective Google policies. To ask about diagnostic or support information, contact chaseosapps@gmail.com.
Security
The app keeps feature data in private local storage, disables app-data backup and transfer, and limits remote processing to the services disclosed in this policy. No security measure can eliminate every risk, so keep Android and your device security updates current.
Children's privacy
Bluetooth Sleep Timer is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. Chaseos does not knowingly seek personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app's features, dependencies, or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
